Welcome to the CLHA Landscape & Environment Committee page!

The Committee's purpose is to assess and make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding native vegetation management (including erosion control and stormwater management), potential improvements in the Cielo Lumbre subdivision common areas and to provide landscape management educational information to homeowners.

Here are a few links as you create your water-wise garden in our beautiful but often drought-plagued community:
-
City of Santa Fe Water Conservation has lots of useful information for homeowners;
-
Recommended Woody Plants for Santa Fe, City of Santa Fe Municipal Tree Board
-
SFEMG is a great resource for gardening questions;
-
Xerces Society for the protection of pollinators.
As always we encourage you to plant natives whenever possible, to check your irrigation lines regularly for leaks (often caused by wildlife seeking water), and watch out for and remove noxious weeds such as kochia, Russian thistle, tumbleweed and foxtail, and cheat grasses (harmful to pets) as these plants spread around the neighborhood.

Happy Gardening!
